What we stand for

Responsive
Timely and effective communication is a core principle of our work, ensuring issues are addressed and resolved as efficiently as possible. This is flexible, whether it be face to face, via text, email, phone call, or in regularly scheduled stakeholder conferences. Our responsiveness applies to both participants, their important people, and the professional team around them.

Quality
At NSS we are dedicated to ensuring that the services we deliver are of the highest quality and delivered to your specific situation and preferences. This is done through processes like regular evaluations and feedback collection. We are continuously learning and updating our practice based on new evidence-backed research.

Supportive
We deliver a supportive environment and service structure by fostering a person-centered approach that respects individual needs, preferences, and goals. It involves active listening, meaningful collaboration, and empowering individuals to make their own informed decisions. This includes supporting the providers around a participant so they can achieve their best work as well.
Our Practitioner

Rebekah Parkinson
SOCIAL WORKER | SPECIALIST SUPPORT COORDINATOR | RECOVERY COACH
Rebekah is a clinical social worker with over 5 years of experience in the disability and homelessness sector. Her approach is relational; focused on meeting urgent needs quickly and maintaining a long-term mindset to achieve large goals. Her work specializes in Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Antisocial Personality Disorder, C-PTSD, high-risk behaviours of concern, and forensic support.
I am highly organized with a relaxed attitude that positions me well to work those who prefer a more casual approach, but still see positive results. I value providing services at the participant’s pace, as they are the ultimate guide on how services should be delivered. In my personal time I love watching horror movies, weight lifting, reading, and hand crafts like knitting and crochet.
